Several generations of the Bowman family have been involved in growing Bowman Orchards during the last 60+ years. Summer is a busy time at Bowman Orchards as a succession of fruit and berries ripen and become available for self-picking. The whole family can get involved in the pick as many of the fruits are easily accessible for smaller people. The season starts with strawberries and blackberries in June and July and ends with pumpkin picking around Halloween. The apples are usually ready between August and October. There is plenty to do for children including a petting zoo, pony rides and much more.
