56 Auto Drive-in was opened in 1955 and is the northernmost drive-in cinema in New York State. Today, the theater is the only operating drive-in theater in St. Lawrence County, offering a classic widescreen projection screen that has operated for 61 consecutive seasons. Double features of major blockbuster and family films are offered seasonally between April and September, with nightly showings offered throughout the peak summer season. Hot dogs, hamburgers, and fried dough snacks are sold at the theater’s concession stand, along with slushies and a variety of Pepsi products. Visitors should note that the theater and concession stand are both cash-only.
