Review & Frequenly Asked Questions:
Stretching for 27.5 miles along the Neuse River, the Neuse River Trail was created to connect the beautiful parks that sit next to the river. The trail is mostly paved, but some sections that go through the wetlands consist of boardwalk. It begins at Falls Lake Dam and ends at the Johnston County Line, and it runs through four other riverside parks, which are conveniently spaced out every two to three miles. Interpretive signs can be found at various points along the trail, and parking is available at each one of the parks that the trail runs through.
