The Durham County Library is a regional library system with several branches that have been in service for more than a century.

The full-service library offers traditional library books and magazines, audiobooks, downloadable ebooks, CDs, DVDs, online databases for research, along with more than 200 public access computers and complimentary wireless Internet throughout the building.

The library offers over 5,000 educational and literacy programs for children, teens, and adults and welcomes more than 2 million visitors annually.
