The Green Hills Preserve-Pudding Pond in North Conway is part of a more extensive mix of contiguous conservation lands that includes the White Mountain National Forest, Conway State Forest, and town land. Over fifty miles of trails offer hiking opportunities ranging from moderate to strenuous to the tops of Black Cap, Peaked Mountain, and Middle Mountain. Trails also lead to the Pudding Pond conservation area in town, with the Pudding Pond Trail traversing through hemlock and spruce-fir wood following a brook to Pudding Pond itself. Mountain biking is permitted in the preserve on trails not designated as “foot travel only.”
