The Bonniebrook Historical Society in Walnut Shade, Missouri operates the historic Bonniebrook Homestead and the Kewpie Museum. The homestead displays the works of Rose O’Neill, a world-famous writer, artist, philanthropist, activist, and suffragist, and is listed on the National Register of Historic Places. A full-size recreation of her 14-room mansion is also located on the grounds and the gift shop, family cemetery, sculpture gardens, and scenic walking trails are all open to the general public. Tours of the Kewpie Museum, Bonniebrook Fine Art Gallery, and the recreated home are offered from the beginning of April through the end of October.
