Review:
Located in what was once the local Baptist Church, the Weston Historical Museum first opened in 1960. The museum is on a mission to collect, preserve and showcase anything and everything which tells the story of the early days in Platte County. The exhibits are diverse to say the least and include Native American items from the pre-settler days, Civil War artifacts, and many everyday household items which date back to the pioneer days in Weston. A few highlights of the museum’s collection include vintage clothing, a working gramophone and many documents which throw light on the events around the Civil War, the Abolitionist Movement and more.
