Encompassing the historic former Francis Hotel and Clay County State Bank, the Excelsior Springs Museum and Archives is focused on the preservation and promotion of the history of Excelsior Springs, Missouri, dating back to its founding originally as a resort for healing featuring four kinds of mineral waters. New displays throughout the museum are created every year from the archives and collections, while photographs and standing exhibits share the story of the town, as well as its people. The archives of the Excelsior Springs Museum acts as a historical and genealogical resource for visitors and the local community alike.

Live blues music can be heard in the Blues Garden on Saturdays between the months of June and September.
