Review:
Waterford Historic Village is a small community which forms part of Waterford Township, on the shore of Van Norman Lake in Michigan. The settlement was established as far back as 1818, and is listed on the National Register of Historic Places. In the late 1990’s the Waterford Historical Society decided to establish a Historic Village which would reflect daily life in the 1800’s. Several of the buildings you can visit were saved from demolition and brought to the site for renovation. Just a few of the structures you can explore include the Hatchery House (originally a mail-order pre-fabricated wood dwelling), the Log Cabin, the Bass House, a General Store and much more.
