Founded in 1939, the Automotive Hall of Fame is a museum that showcases the impressive contributions of men and women to the automotive industry. Along with being part of the MotorCities National Heritage Area, the hall has galleries featuring permanent and changing exhibits including the spectacular painting in the Hall of Honor, and a display about Karl Benz, the inventor of the first automobile powered by an internal combustion engine as well as the Lincoln Highway, where visitors can learn all about the first interstate in America.
