Visitors who would like to learn about the history of the Boothbay Region are invited to come and visit the Boothbay Region Historical Society Museum. Here the historical society has put together an interesting set of exhibits in the historic former homestead of Elizabeth F. Reed, Fullerton Park. The homestead dates back to 1847 and visitors can browse through 6 rooms filled with photos, maps, artifacts and other family memorabilia. Part of the exhibit includes a slide show documenting the regions maritime history and the many ships which were built in Boothbay. If you would like to research your family’s roots in Boothbay you are welcome to contact the museum.
