The Pejepscot Historical Society has been around since the year 1888 and is dedicated to the preservation and sharing of the culture and the history of the Pejepscot Region of Maine. The Pejepscot Region is specifically made up of the towns of Topsham, Harpswell, and Brunswick, Maine. Along with the galleries of the Pejepscot Museum, the Pejepscot Historical Society manages two historic house museums, the Skolfield-Whittier House and the Joshua L. Chamberlain Museum.
