The Pioneer Heritage Center was founded in the year 1977 as part of a project in collaboration with the Junior League of Shreveport and the Louisiana State University in Shreveport. Visitors are guided through the structures offering insight into the pioneer’s daily lives, the natural environment, and cultural history in northwestern Louisiana.
