Review:

Riverview at Hobson Grove is an Italianate home built in 1872 on a 400-acre horse and cattle farm. The historical house museum sits atop a hill overlooking the Barren River. The Italianate architecture features rounded window arches, roofline eaves with ornamental brackets and, of course, a cupola where visitors can take in spectacular views. Inside, the home has been restored to its original beauty, with two parlors that have painted ceilings and elegant Victorian décor throughout. Construction began before the Civil War and was completed thereafter. During the war, it was used for Confederate munitions storage, which makes it a site on the Civil War Discovery Trail.
