One of the state’s finest home, the Seelye Mansion was built in the Georgian style back in the year 1905 for Dr. A.B. Seelye and his wife. The grand historic home features Edison light fixtures and original furnishings from the St. Louis World Fair in 1904. Visitors can tour twenty-five rooms, including the kitchen areas, an antique bowling alley, the ballroom, and eleven bedrooms. The Seelye Mansion is open to the public from 10:00am until 4:00pm Monday to Saturday and from 1:00pm until 4:00pm on Sundays. Hours are often extended during the summer months.
