The Richard Allen Cultural Center is dedicated to researching and preserving the rich history and heritage of African-Americans in the region and their influence on society. Founded in 1992, the museum is based in the former home of U.S. Army Captain and Buffalo Soldier, William Bly, and named after the founder of the first African Methodist Episcopal Church in the United States, Richard Allen. Decorated to reflect a building from the early 1900s, the museum houses an interesting collection of historic photographs dating back to the 1800s.
