The Museo dell'Occhiale or Eyeglasses Museum in Pieve de Cadore contains more than 4,000 exhibits that tell the story and history of eyeglasses, from the time they were invented to modern days.

There are many exceptional and unique pieces as well as precious documents about the history of the technique and the art of making glasses. There are glasses of all kinds, from pince-nez, spectacle cases, lorgnettes, fans with glasses, hidden lorgnettes, spyglasses, binoculars, walking sticks with glasses inserted in the handle, monocles, and many other fascinating and curious objects linked to eyeglasses.

The museum also has a small library with books dating as far back as the 17th century, along with many modern publications on the history and development of eyeglasses and student graduate thesis on eyeglasses.
