A Fredericksburg tradition since 1975, The Old German Bakery and Restaurant prides itself on serving delicious German foods using traditional family recipes. The present owner (since 1998) has over 40 years of experience as a baker, and you can taste the difference in each and every delicious morsel. The restaurant serves an excellent variety of American and German breakfasts all day and a satisfying selection of German specialties like Holstein Schnitzel and Sauerbraten at lunchtime. You will also find sandwiches, burgers, soups and salads on the menu. Fresh bread is baked on the premises each day and you can treat yourself to freshly baked apple strudel, Danish pastries and much more.
