The Alabama Governor’s Mansion is a 107-year-old home built in the neoclassical style. Originally the governor’s mansion was located in another structure but since 1950, the current mansion has housed all of Alabama’s first families.

Tours of the Mansion are guided and are approximately 30 minutes in length.

Each tour showcases the main floor of the house and its grounds. Upon completion of the tour, guests are invited to enjoy complimentary cookies at the Governor’s Mansion Gift Shop.

The Gift Shop is a small four room establishment, but it is an excellent source for all things Alabama.
