The National Museum of Ancient Art was established in 1884 and has grown to become one of the most important public collections of art in Portugal. There are over 40,000 items that have been collected over the years, including silverware and gold, paintings and sculptures, and pieces from the Far East, Africa, and Europe, many of which have been classified as national treasures.

Visitors are invited to explore the various exhibitions and the exquisite works that can be found within them. They’ll definitely get a better understanding of Portugal’s past and the treasures that came from them.
