Located on the southern end of Bainbridge Island, Fort Ward Park is a 137-acre marine park that boasts 4,300 feet of saltwater shoreline along Rich Passage in Puget Sound. As a former military base, the land is full of significant military history, but it has since been developed for use by the general public.
The park features a concrete boat ramp, an underwater park for scuba divers, and a beautiful rocky beach. There are two picnic areas with vault toilets and potable water in the park, one of which is only accessible by foot or by bicycle.
