Located on the Outer Banks of North Carolina, Cape Hatteras Light is known for being the tallest brick lighthouse in the United States. At 210 feet tall, it is also among the top 30 tallest lighthouses in the world.

Lighthouse visitors often choose to stop by the Hatteras Island Visitor Center and Museum of the Sea, which provides information about the Cape Hatteras National Seashore as well as exhibits that showcase the history of the Outer Banks area and the Cape Hatteras Lighthouse. Visitors can also climb nearly 300 steps to the top of Cape Hatteras Lighthouse at certain times of the year.
