Review:

Homestead National Historical Park commemorates the lives and achievements of pioneers and the changes brought about as a result of The Homestead Act. With a cry of “free land,” the act has both an immediate effect and an enduring one on the country that can still be felt today. Visitors at the site can explore the Homestead Heritage Center, which is home to an interactive museum about American homesteading, homesteading genealogy research, and the Land of Dreams film. Outside the center is the Palmer-Epard Cabin. Homestead National Historical Park is open daily with free admission.
