The Strategic Air Command and Aerospace Museum consists of approximately 300,000 square feet of exhibit space designed to foster the thrill of innovation and discovery in visitors of all ages. Founded originally in 1959 as a commemoration of the Strategic Air Command, the museum today features a rather impressive collection of space artifacts and military aircraft, several of which were restored at the on-site restoration facility. Aircraft on display include a B-36J “Peacemaker” and a SR-71 Blackbird. The Strategic Air Command and Aerospace Museum is open to the public from 9:00am until 5:00pm, seven days a week.
