Built in the late 19th century for George Vanderbilt, with the help of famous landscape architect Frederick Law Olmsted, the Biltmore estate is the largest privately owned home in America. This gorgeous mansion has a museum and is available for tours and event rentals, but it is also home to a winery. Half the fun of exploring the Biltmore wines is the winery itself; visitors can tour the vineyard, the wine production facilities, and the spectacularly beautiful wine bar, where truffles and charcuterie are also offered. Admission to the tasting room (and complimentary tastings) is included in the price of admission to the estate.
