Established in 1968, the festival is one of the world's foremost international festivals and draws thousands of film aficionados, movie buffs and critics every year who flock to the city to soak up the very best of horror and fantasy. The Film Festival is held in various locations, with the main venue being the 1,384-seat Auditori (Auditorium), which is located inside the Melia Hotel in the Port d'Aiguadolç area.
