Review:

Near Cologne Cathedral and the Chocolate Museum, the Museum Ludwig is an art lover’s dream as it is home to the most extensive Pop art collection in Europe and the third-largest Picasso collection in the world. The majority of the collection is from art patrons Peter and Irene Ludwig, who donated 350 works of modern art to the city of Cologne in 1976, and Josef Haubrich, who donated fine examples of German Expressionism and New Objectivity to the city in 1946 shortly after the Second World War. Notable names that grace the museum galleries include Andy Warhol, Max Ernst, Claes Oldenburg, Jasper Johns, and Gerhard Richter. As for photography, there are 70,000 works and a FOTO LAB, where visitors enjoy immersive experiences, such as learning about the camera obscura and other fun activities.
