Founded in 2008, DUMBO Flea was created by Jonathan Butler and Eric Demny as a way to provide Brooklyn with access to some of the top flea market vendors in the area. Over 100 vendors gather each Saturday from April to October to sell their goods. There is also a winter market held from November to March on the eighth floor of a local building providing shoppers with stunning views of the surrounding skyline. Some items found at the flea market include furniture, pottery, and retro clothing. DUMBO Flea also hosts a food market, known as Smorgasburg, which highlights locally grown and made food.
