Review:

Mississippi River travels from its headwaters in Minnesota, through ten states, all the way to the Gulf of Mexico by way of Louisiana.

Follow it through its most southern state along the National Scenic Byway, the Great River Road. The road passes through several historic towns, including Tallulah, Plaquemine, Baton Rouge and New Orleans.

At each city stop, you’ll find hundreds of years of culture and history, museums, distinct shopping and dining districts.

Eight Great River Road Interpretative Centers are located in Louisiana, including the West Feliciana Historical Society Museum in St. Francisville, the Poverty Point World Heritage Site in Pioneer, and the Louisiana State Museum in New Orleans. Map
