- Osage Nation Museum: In Pawhuska you can spend your day out in the heart of Osage County where Native American and Western culture vie for your attention. The town is named for Chief Paw-hui-skah, and is home to the Osage Nation Museum, where you can learn all about the history of Osage County.

- Tallgrass Prairie Preserve: Pawhuska is also your gateway to the Joseph H Williams Tallgrass Prairie Preserve which showcases 40,000 acres of tallgrass prairie. This preserve is home to over two thousand bison and numerous other animals. Here you can take a 50-mile scenic drive, view some wildlife, and have a picnic.
