Lake Hemet is a charming reservoir in the village of Mountain Center, located within the picturesque peaks of the San Jacinto Mountains. The reservoir was created in 1895 following the construction of the Hemet Dam and holds 14,000 acre feet of water today. Lake visitors can fish for rainbow trout, largemouth bass, bluegill, and channel catfish and can enjoy excellent opportunities for boating, hiking, picnicking, and camping throughout the year.
