Loschwitz is a lovely borough in Dresden located along hillside slopes north of the River Elbe, known as a prominent wine-growing region since the 11th century. The historic village is home to landmarks such as the Weißer Hirsch quarter, which has housed some of the region's most prominent upper-class citizens throughout its history, including inventor Manfred von Ardenne and Battle of Stalingrad commander Friedrich Paulus. Its beautiful regional church is of historic note, located adjacent to the historic Loschwitz Cemetery.
