Review & FAQ:
Holesinsky Certified Organic Vineyard and Winery is southern Idaho's premiere USDA-certified organic winery, originally founded in 2001 by winemaker James Holesinsky. The whimsically-branded winery, which was founded to honor the lifelong amateur winemaking dream of Holesinsky's father Frank, produces high-quality Syrah, Merlot, Cabernet Sauvignon, Riesling, and Muscat wines, along with several selections of fine port wines. All wines are branded under fantastical names evoking fairytales and mythology, ranging from the winery's new Unicorn Syrah Rose varietal to bottles showcasing art of Alice in Wonderland's Tweedle-Dee and Tweedle-Dum. Tasting appointments can be scheduled on a call-ahead basis at the winery's main Buhl location. Winery booths are also operated periodically at several area farmer's markets in Boise and Sun Valley.
