Golden Gate Park is one of the most iconic and beloved public parks in San Francisco, attracting over 13 million annual visitors throughout the year. The spacious 1,017-acre park was originally developed in the 1870s by John McLaren and William Hammond Hall and has earned comparisons to New York City's famed Central Park for its design and use as a major urban oasis.
