Chew Valley Lake is well-known for its extraordinarily scenic beauty and premier fly fishing. The lake is situated approximately 12 miles south of downtown Bristol, England. The condition and size of trout caught here, as well as the wide variety of fly patterns and fishing methods available, make Chew Valley Lake a popular fishing competition venue. Visitors can bring their furry little friends with them and take a scenic walk around the lake on the paved paths. There’s also a wonderful opportunity for bird watching, as there are over 270 different species of birds that have been recorded around the lake. The lake has been designated a Site of Special Scientific Interest, as well as a Special Protection Area.
