Review & Frequenly Asked Questions:

Kusanya Cafe is a popular coffee shop and nonprofit organization in Chicago's Englewood neighborhood, owned and operated by former Robust Coffee Lounge employee Phil Sipka. The cafe, which was opened in November of 2013, serves up delicious coffee shop beverages with beans from El Salvador, Ethiopia, and the Congo, which are roasted onsite in small batches to bring out the unique flavor profile of each crop. Beverages range from simple dollar-cup drip coffee to hazelnut or caramel lattes and iced frappes topped with whipped cream. Handmade lemonades are also served up, along with health-conscious smoothies and a variety of hot and iced looseleaf teas. Community arts and culture events are hosted at the cafe throughout the month, along with job training and apprenticeship courses for area citizens.
