The Moraine Park Campground is also accessible during the winter, but amenities are extremely limited due to the cold temperatures. Nestled inside the Grand Canyon National Park, the North Rim Campground provides incredible views of the Grand Canyon and has both RV and tent sites that are reservable from May to October. This ADA-friendly campground is somewhat primitive, but offers a few amenities which include a water station, dumping station, laundry facility, and showers. It’s also pet-friendly but pets need to be leashed at all times. The campground is near numerous hiking trails as well as a general store which sells firewood and other necessities. Weather varies at the campground due to its high elevation and campers can experience anything from frequent afternoon thunderstorms in the summer to snow-covered grounds in late May and early October.
