If you’re planning your next flight, I’ve got some favorite airports that can really take the stress out of travel. After years of flying coast to coast, I’ve come to appreciate the ones that make the journey feel just as smooth as the destination. Whether you’re looking for great food, easy connections, or a place to relax, these airports have made my travel days a lot better—and I think you’ll feel the same.
Highlights:
- I often fly through major hubs like Atlanta (ATL), Chicago O’Hare (ORD), and Dallas/Fort Worth (DFW)—and once you get the lay of the land, they’re surprisingly efficient.
- You’ll enjoy great dining and shopping at spots like Denver (DEN) and San Francisco (SFO). I always leave time to explore a bit between flights.
- I love how easily you can connect to public transit at JFK in New York and LAX in Los Angeles—perfect when you want to skip the cab line.
- You might prefer the calm of smaller regional airports. I’ve found some of my most relaxing travel days flying out of those.
- I always notice when an airport upgrades its terminals—with lounges, family zones, and fresh design, it really makes you feel taken care of.
