Part hotel, part gardens, gallery and museum, La Posada Hotel in Winslow has been a local landmark for nearly 100 years. It was once considered the smartest hotel and resort in the Southwest, attracting many celebrities during its Hey Days in the 1930’s. After several decades of neglect, today the building is listed on the National Register of Historic Places and is once again welcoming the public to come and enjoy a unique romantic getaway. The guestrooms have mostly retained their original feel and are filled with Mexican antiques and artifacts with modern touches like whirlpool tubs (some rooms). There are beautiful flower-filled courtyards and terraces and the Turquoise Room Restaurant is renowned for its superb cuisine.
