Built back in 1779 and steeped in history, the Old Talbott Tavern has been providing drinks, food, and shelter to travelers in Kentucky since the late 1700’s. Located at Court Square in historic Bardstown, the Old Talbott Tavern is home to the world’s oldest bourbon bar and is the country’s oldest Western Stagecoach stop. There are six guest rooms, each named after one of the Tavern’s famous visitors, including Jesse James, General Patton, and Abraham Lincoln. The Tavern also consists of a gift shop, pub, and restaurant. Guests can enjoy a complimentary country-style breakfast during their stay. Old Talbott Tavern is 45 minutes from Louisville (40.7 miles via I-65 S and KY-245 S).
