Terrell is a historic railroad town just 32 miles east of Dallas.

The area features many impressive Victorian and Revival era homes. The Terrell Heritage Museum, which is located in the former Carnegie Library, is a museum dedicated to the history of the area, including WWII memorabilia from the #1 British Flying Training School.

The Flying School itself has a museum in Terrell as well, and it allows visitors to explore and learn about the significance of this training school.

For history buffs, the city offers historical tours of Terrell led by guides in period costumes.

Shopping opportunities in Terrell include a historic downtown shopping district as well as a Tanger outlet mall. The area also has good fishing opportunities and several ranches.
