The James Turner Carriage House offers added levels of privacy and space with three bedrooms, namely the Flannery O'Conner, Conrad Aiken and Julia Scarborough rooms, three and a half bathrooms, a cozy parlor and access to the garden through a private entrance. Guests can enjoy a complimentary gourmet breakfast every morning in the sunny breakfast room with lovely garden views. The Hamilton chef prepares hearty culinary treats from fluffy eggs benedict and hand-carved ham to mouthwatering French toast and freshly baked pastries. Refreshments are available throughout the day and wine, and hors d’oeuvres are served in the evening in the inviting parlor.

For lunch, dinner and cocktails, the Inn is within walking distance of several excellent restaurants in and around the historic district, including Paula Deen’s The Lady and Sons, Mrs. Wilkes’ Dining Room, The Olde Pink House, and Vic's on the River.

Antebellum Houses worth visiting include the Andrew Low and the Green-Meldrim Houses, both designed by John Norris, the Isaiah Davenport House, the circa 1831 Juliette Gordon Low House and the Mercer Williams House, which was made famous in the 1994 John Berendt novel “Midnight in the Garden of Good and Evil.”

Notable museums include the Ships of the Sea Museum, which exhibits a variety of maritime antiques, ships models, and paintings, the Savannah Railroad Museum, which is the largest existing nineteenth-century railroad operations complex in the nation. The National Museum of the Mighty Eighth Air Force is home to many outstanding World War II exhibits.

Lafayette Square was established in 1837 and features a stunning water fountain which is dyed green for the city massive St. Patrick's Day celebrations. Originally known as St. James Square, Telfair Square is located between State Street and York Street and was built to honor the Telfair family. Washington Square was constructed in 1790 and named after the first President of the United States, who visited Savannah in that year. The 30-acre Forsyth Park features winding walking paths, open air basketball and tennis courts and a designated children’s playground area and casual café.
