Review:

The Hartwell Dam is an embankment and concrete dam built on the Savannah River along the border of Georgia and South Carolina. This dam created Lake Hartwell, one of the largest lakes in the Southeast at approximately 56,000 acres, which offers many different outdoor recreational opportunities along its shoreline, such as boating, fishing, camping, picnicking, and swimming. At the dam’s lower side, visitors will find the Hartwell Dam Fishing Pier around a mile from the Hartwell Dam and Lake Visitor Center. The pier is open to the general public free of charge and offers a great spot for recreational fishing.
