The LaGrange Art Museum is dedicated to the collection and presentation of contemporary art by both established and emerging artists. Housed inside of a former jail, dating back to 1892, the art museum includes four exhibit galleries, a sculpture garden, collection storage, a kitchen, classrooms, and offices. Educational activities are also offered in the adjacent building. The permanent collection at the LaGrange Art Museum consists of over five hundred works of art created by contemporary American artists, including artwork by several internationally known artists, such as Camile Billops, Larry Zox, Frank Stella, and Andy Warhol, as well as Georgian artists.
