The Canton Theatre has been one of the premiere places for entertainment for more than one hundred years in the community of Canton, Georgia. This historic theater started out showing silent movies and slides as early as the year 1911 and was later renamed as “The Bonita” after changing owners during the 1920’s. After being bought by the Martin-Thompson Theatre Company in the late part of the 1930’s, the theater became known as the Canton Theatre and underwent many improvements. The theatre today still stands as a lasting fixture of the community, hosting both traveling and local productions and entertainment.
