Located off the shore of Walton County in the Gulf of Mexico, The Underwater Museum of Art is the country’s first “permanent underwater sculpture garden.” This one-of-a-kind museum and eco-tourism attraction lies 58-feet deep under the ocean surface and almost one mile off the shores of Santa Rosa Beach’s Grayton Beach State Park. Every year, sculpture works are carefully selected from artists from all over the world to be installed in The Underwater Museum of Art. These sculptures attract various marine life and transform into a living reef over time. To explore the site at-depth, visitors should be certified divers.
