Review & Frequenly Asked Questions:

The Bass Museum of Art is a world-renowned contemporary art museum with a permanent collection of artworks ranging from the 7th century to the present. Housed in a beautifully preserved 1930s Russell Pancoast-designed Art Deco building on Collins Avenue, the Bass was founded in 1964 after Miami Beach residents John and Johanna Bass donated their private collection of artworks and sculptures.

The Bass museum features a comprehensive collection of works, including European paintings and sculptures from the 15th century, textiles and tapestries dating back to the 7th century, Asian and Caribbean art, and the history of pre- and postwar design in Miami Beach. The museum also has a sculpture garden and hosts an array of art-related events, films, and lectures throughout the year.
