Craving sunshine, beach breezes, and a splash of luxury? I say pack your bags for West Palm Beach. I’ve wandered its palm-lined streets, lounged on its sandy shores, and dipped into both its art scene and its ocean. Whether you're after upscale relaxation, family fun, or a little of both, this vibrant Florida city has something that will speak to you. It’s one of those places I always leave feeling recharged—and I think you will too.

When I Think You Should Visit

I’ve found that November through April is the sweet spot. That’s when the weather’s warm and dry—perfect for beach days, festivals, and sidewalk cafés. If you're open to a summer visit, you’ll score better rates and fewer crowds. Yes, it’s hotter and more humid, but I just plan early outings and enjoy the afternoon by the pool (with a drink in hand, of course).

How I Usually Get There

  • By Car: I like how easy it is to reach from Miami or Fort Lauderdale. Just hop on I-95 or US-1—you’ll be there in no time. It’s a scenic drive too if you take the coast.
  • By Air: I often fly into Palm Beach International Airport (PBI). It’s a breeze—just minutes from the beach and downtown.
  • By Train: If you’re coming from Miami, Fort Lauderdale, or even Orlando, I highly recommend Brightline. I’ve taken it myself—modern, quick, and so much more relaxing than driving.
  • By Bus: Greyhound and FlixBus can get you there affordably. Once you’re in town, Palm Tran makes it easy to get around if you’re not renting a car.

Where I Love to Stay

  • The Ben, Autograph Collection: This is my go-to when I want something stylish. You’ll love the rooftop pool and those views over the Intracoastal—sunset up there is something else.
  • Hilton West Palm Beach: I’ve stayed here for events, and it’s incredibly convenient. You’ll be right next to CityPlace with easy access to dining, shopping, and entertainment.
  • Grandview Gardens Bed & Breakfast: When I want something peaceful and charming, this is the spot. It’s tucked away in a historic neighborhood and feels like your own little tropical escape.
