Blanketing the hills of south-central Indiana, the Hoosier National Forest spans 203,000 acres and boasts pristine landscapes of rolling hills, winding back-country trails, and rural crossroad communities.
The forest is made up of four separate sections and features several popular areas and sites, including Potts Creek Rockshelter Archeological Site, the Lick Creek Settlement, and Jacob Rickenbaugh House. The trail system that runs through the forest is almost 266 miles long and is suitable for hiking, horseback riding, and mountain biking, with beautiful waterfalls, wintergreen plants, and hemlock trees along the way.
