The Museum of Miniature Houses is dedicated to the art of fine-scale miniature and is one of only a few museums of its kind in the country.

The museum aims to preserve and display scale miniatures, introduce the fine art of miniature making to the public, and preserve the art form for future generations. The museum boasts a collection of thousands of miniatures, including miniature houses, room boxes, and intricate individual items, which are showcased through a range of rotating exhibitions throughout the year.

These exhibitions highlight the concept of architectural scale, the importance of detailing, and the beauty of decorative arts and signature pieces include a tiny Victorian home and a miniature replica of Hoosier athlete Major Taylor’s bicycle. Free audio tours and guided docent-led tours of the museum are offered, and magnifying glasses are provided in each room to view the pieces in detail.
